Choosing the right PowerMore cable
The Bosch PowerMore 250 is intended for selected eBikes with the Bosch Smart System. The connection cable is not part of the PowerMore 250 kit and is selected separately.
The cable routing directly on the PowerMore is crucial. In the version towards the battery holder, the cable outlet points towards the holder side – in many installation positions, this means towards the seat tube. In the version away from the battery holder, the cable outlet points in the opposite direction, away from the holder side.
Which variant fits depends on the installation position on the frame: If the PowerMore is, for example, deep on the seat tube or in the frame triangle, the plug may have too little clearance to the frame with cable routing towards the battery holder. In this case, the cable routing away from the holder may be the more suitable solution. The actual position of the PowerMore holder and the path to the charging socket are always decisive.
To determine the correct length, lay a string from the intended battery holder to the charging socket along the future cable path and measure this distance. The plugs are not included in the measurement - this means the fully assembled connection cable will be slightly longer overall than the selected cable length.

Does the Bosch PowerMore 250 fit every e-bike with a Bosch drive?
No. The PowerMore 250 is intended for selected eBikes with the Bosch Smart System. Even for an eBike with the Smart System, approval for the specific bicycle model is crucial.
What's included in the PowerMore 250 Kit?
Included are the PowerMore 250, the PowerMore battery holder, a bottle cage, and two M5 × 12 mounting screws. The connection cable is not included.
Is the connecting cable included?
No. A separate connection cable is required for retrofitting. Bosch offers suitable PowerMore cables in various lengths and with two cable routing options.
How do I find the right cable routing and length?
In most cases, the cable with cable guide fits towards the battery holder. The opposite version is intended for rare installation situations where the connector would otherwise have too little clearance to the frame.
Orient yourself by the actual position of the PowerMore holder and the charging socket. For the required length, lay a string along the future cable route on the frame and measure this distance. The result serves as a pre-selection.
Where is the PowerMore 250 mounted?
The Range Extender is attached to the designated bottle cage position on the frame using the supplied battery holder. Your eBike must be designed for PowerMore retrofitting.
